Our EMT protocol paper is out! (Feb. 2021)

Check out our recent publication on epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), the process that occurs in development, but is also important for cancer metastasis. I am so happy the paper is published!
We live in times of COVID-19. However, we should not forget that there are > 10,000 diseases in the world and for majority of them there is no cure, therefore research is urgently needed.
In this publication we provide a detailed description on how to perform an EMT assay. This assay can be used to discover novel regulators of EMT and to test inhibitors of EMT that could be used to block cancer metastasis.

Our review paper entitled ''Cellular Interactions in the Intestinal Stem Cell Niche'' has been accepted! (Sept. 2018)

The paper summarizes the literature on the stromal-epithelial interactions in the gut and indicates potential future directions in research.

Finally my book chapter is published! (April 2017)

Finally my book chapter:
"Immunoscore, Circulating Tumor Cells, and Human-Derived Organoids as Potential Predictive Tools in Personalized Cancer Medicine."
is published! So exciting!
The chapter is a part of the book ´´Medical Ethics, Prediction, and Prognosis: Interdisciplinary Perspectives´´ and is available here:
This is a book on predictive medicine and is unique due to its interdisciplinary character. The book is composed of 3 parts (Individual Challenges, Social Challenges and Research Challenges) and contains 13 chapters that are written by scientists from all over the world. Interestingly, the book is a fruit of the interactions during international symposium ´´Prediction and Prognosis: Future Knowledge in Medicine´´ that was held on September 16–18, 2014 in Munich, Germany.
