1. Collaboration partners

If you are interested in exchanging research ideas, applying together for grants, writing papers together and discussing recently published papers in the field of: stem cell biology, cancer, tissue microenvironment and personalised medicine, and working together towards shared goals, please contact me: agnieszka.pastula@wp.pl

2. Visiting scientists, summer students, undergraduate students and graduate students

I have already 11 years of full-time experience in research, including voluntary research activities, extracurricular research intrernships, research during MS, PhD and postdoctoral trainings. I have extensive international experience, I was working in Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and in the USA. I have a very solid background in molecular and cell biology, with expertise in studying tissue microenvironment.

If you are very motivated and talented local or international student, preferably willing to apply for a scholarship/ fellowship, I am happy to share my knowledge, work with you and train you:

Cellular gastroenterology

- small intestinal organoid culture
- different organoid assays: organoid spheroid assay, organoid diameter, organoid survival, single cell-derived organoids
- colon tumor organoid culture e.g. derived colon tumors from Dro1+/+;ApcMin/+ and Dro1-/-;ApcMin/+ mice
- human-derived Barrett's esophagus organoid culture
- intestinal fibroblast isolation and culture
- Barrett's esophagus fibroblast isolation and culture
- various epithelial-stromal co-culture systems to model the gastrointestinal tissue microenvironment e.g. indirect co-culture of intestinal fibroblasts and intestinal crypts and organotypic (multi-layered, air-liquid interface) cultures of gastrointestinal epithelium and the stroma

Experimental urology

- dissection of the prostate
- isolation of the urogenital sinus from E15.5 and E16.5 mouse embryos
- urogenital sinus explant culture
- isolation and culturing of primary urogenital mesenchymal cells
- isolation and culture of stromal cells derived from human prostatectomy samples
- single cell analysis of stromal cell subtypes in the prostate (software: 10x genomics)

Other methods

- 2D and 3D culture of Madin Darby Canine Kidney Cell (MDCK) cell line
- induction of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in MDCK cells
- culturing HeLa Flp-In cell line expressing GFP-GRAF and mCherry-Rab8
- dextran uptake assay using pancreatic tumor organoids
